**The Family YMCA of Emporia-Greensville defines a HOUSEHOLD membership as:
- A parent and all children, whether or not living within the same household. A "parent" is defined as a natural or adoptive parent or legal guardian. "Child(ren)" is defined as any person under the age of nineteen (19) who is a natural or legally adopted child or ward of a parent, or any other person who may be claimed as a dependent of a parent under federal income tax laws. Children ages 20-24 can remain on the Household membership after providing proof of their full-time enrollment in a college, university or trade school. Re-verification will be required annually.
- Two persons living within the same household in a marital relationship, and all children as defined above.
- Two persons filing a joint federal income tax return.
Documentation to support the relationship may be required before household members with different last names are activated. Examples of documentation could include: certified copies of marriage and birth certificates, court ordered legal custody or adoption records, or the first page of the most recent Federal 1040 (showing dependents).
MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT ELIGIBILITY
Our Y accepts payments from four Medicare Advantage Plan benefit options: SilverSneakers®, Renew Active®, One Pass™ and Silver & Fit®. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan that offers one of these benefits, you could come to our Y at no cost to you! Instead of you having to pay out of pocket, our Y is reimbursed $3 by your insurance plan each day you scan in at our Member Services Desk.
If your Medicare Supplement Plan lists any one of these four benefits: SilverSneakers®, Renew Active®, One Pass™, or Silver & Fit®, click the "Verify Eligibility" button beside the benefit listed on your insurance policy and verify your eligibility, or call the customer service number on the back of your Medicare Supplement Insurance card. Write down your eligibility code and provide it to our Member Services Desk when you come in to join. A SilverSneaker® eligibility number will contain sixteen digits beginning with 2300 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _. Renew Active® and One Pass™ numbers will begin with an "R" or an "S" plus nine digits. REDUCED RATES
Can't afford the fees listed above? We offer financial assistance toward reduced membership rates based on household composition (the number of people living in the home) versus the total household income. If you qualify, your fees could be reduced by 10% to 85%!
